What we do

Our Mission

Our mission is to clear up ideological misconceptions and explain what a sustainable population implies. One of the major variables of a sustainable population is its sheer size. eurASP offers scientific evidence of how human population, its size, density and consumption patterns affect our most precious livelihood, planet Earth. eurASP is an international platform that promotes science-based awareness raising about the implications of a sustainable population. We wish to realise this through networking, sharing and spreading information.

  • Networking. We bring European citizens and organisations who are concerned about the topic of sustainable population together. We are aware that many people are convinced that there are too many of us, but finding them can be difficult since it is not a popular topic. Our platforms offers a save heaven for them where they can contribute to the cause.
  • Sharing. We are all concerned about the same problems and all seek the same answers and solutions, so it is only natural that we share information and best practices freely among our members.
  • Dissemination. We spread relevant information in order to convince the public, national and EU institutions about the need to talk about sustainable populations.

If you are interested to join us or if you have any other question about us please contact us with info@eurasp.org.

Our activities

We hold regular online meetings between members to keep eurASP running and to keep each other informed about the topic and about our member’s projects.

Every year we have a physical meeting for our members. We meet in one of our member’s home country for multiple days. We also hold and visit seminars and conferences to inform our public and ourselves.

Our publications

If you know where to look you can find quite some interesting information about the topic. At eurASP we collect this information, analyse it and write statements and position papers that synthetise and interprete it so that it can be disseminated more easily. Below we list our own publications (more in progress).
