What we do

Our Mission

At the European Alliance on Sustainable Population (eurASP), we aim to challenge misconceptions and clarify what it truly means to achieve a sustainable population. A key factor is population size, and we provide scientific evidence on how human numbers, density, and consumption patterns impact our planet’s health.

eurASP serves as an international platform to raise awareness, rooted in science, about the vital importance of sustainable population dynamics. We pursue this mission through three core actions:

  • Networking: We connect European citizens and organizations concerned about population sustainability. While many believe overpopulation is a pressing issue, it’s often difficult to find like-minded people. Our platform provides a safe space for collaboration and action.
  • Sharing: We share knowledge and best practices freely, as we all face the same challenges and seek the same solutions.
  • Dissemination: We work to spread critical information, influencing public opinion and engaging with national and EU institutions on the urgent need to address population sustainability.

Our activities

At eurASP, we are committed to fostering an active and engaged community focused on promoting sustainable population awareness. Our activities are designed to keep members informed, connected, and inspired.

Seminars and Conferences: To broaden our reach and stay at the forefront of population sustainability discussions, we both host and attend various seminars and conferences throughout Europe. These events allow us to engage with the public, exchange ideas with experts, and learn from thought leaders, ensuring that eurASP remains a dynamic force in the sustainability movement.

Online Meetings: We hold regular virtual meetings where members can stay updated on the latest developments in population sustainability and share updates on individual and collaborative projects. These meetings ensure that eurASP remains an active and vibrant platform, always working towards our shared goals.

Annual Gatherings: Once a year, we organize a multi-day in-person meeting for our members in one of our home countries. These gatherings offer a unique opportunity to strengthen our network, share in-depth knowledge, and discuss new strategies for advancing our mission in a more personal setting.
